Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, said on Friday that he had not made up his mind about running for president in 2023.
State governors could not meet in Lagos or anywhere else in the North to pick which zone will produce the country’s next president, according to Kwankwaso.
He stated that political parties should make the decision after considering all factors, and that the most essential thing is to hire the best individual for the job.
The former governor remarked during an interview broadcast on Arise Television, in which he criticized incumbent Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s administration, claiming he was dissatisfied with his performance.
He criticized the state’s debt burden, claiming that Kano is currently owed N187 billion, which is unacceptably high.
“I have not taken that decision yet,” he responded when asked if he would run for president in 2023.
