Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), came before the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday, dressed in a white Fendi tracksuit.
The IPOB leader appeared to be in good spirits and physically appeared to be in better shape than when the Federal Government announced his extradition to the country.
After being extradited to the country in June, Kanu appeared thin and had lost some weight.
Kanu is facing charges of “terrorism, treason, running an illegal company, publishing defamatory material, and illegal possession of firearms,” according to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, who stated in July that Kanu is facing charges of “terrorism, treason, running an illegal company, publishing defamatory material, and illegal possession of firearms.”
The government filed amended seven-count terrorist charges against the IPOB leader earlier this week, rather than the five counts it had previously wanted.
