A crowd of pro-Buhari demonstrators has assembled at Abuja’s Unity Fountain.
Nobody was killed at the Lekki tollgate in Lagos, according to these demonstrators.
The pro-Buhari protestors were transported to the venue on a bus and waved placards that said, “#EndSarsProtest; Lekki shooting was a hoax,” and “Nobody died at Lekki tollgate,” according to InsightnaijaTV.
Soldiers reportedly opened fire on protestors protesting police brutality at the Lekki tollgate on October 20, 2020.
While some reports, particularly those from civil society organizations, claim that some demonstrators were killed in the attack, the federal administration denies this.
On Wednesday, Lai Mohammed, the minister of information, called the Lekki incident a “phantom massacre.”
On the first anniversary of the #EndSARS protest, Nigerians flocked to the streets in Lagos, Abuja, and other cities throughout the country.
