The Kogi State Government has disclosed plans to evacuate indigenes of the state studying at the University of Jos, Plateau State.
The State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, who made this known to newsmen on Saturday, said the move is as a result of ongoing hostilities in the State capital, Jos.
Fanwo explained that the action of the university authorities to suspend the ongoing examinations made it possible and easier to evacuate the students from Jos.
He said Governor Yahaya Bello will continue to provide responsive leadership to all Kogites.
The state government further commended authorities of the University of Jos for prioritising student’s safety over the ongoing examinations.
