Jubilations and encomium is rocking Badagry West Local Council Development Area of Lagos as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Gbenu Enugbe Joseph, has expectedly led his party, APC to a huge victory across the five political wards in the just concluded Local Government election.
In the Saturday election conducted across the 57 Local Governments and LCDAs in Lagos State by Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), APC swept Badagry West cleanly with their political broom. According the LASIEC Returning Officer, Mr. Sao Dainal, Hon Gbenu Joseph of APC got 4,339 votes, defeating his major opponent PDP who got 749 votes, while the Youth Party candidate got 18 votes.
However, the hardworking Chairman of Badagry West Local Council, Hon. Gbenu Joseph has dedicated his poll victory to God Almighty and the people of Badagry West for their believe, support, trust and prayers they keep showering on him with love to excel and return for second term in office. He also said the political leaders of APC, the traditional rulers and all stakeholders in Badagry West are golden and he won’t relent in appreciating their efforts in ensuring a developed community.
LASIEC has also announced the victory of APC Councillorship candidates at the five political wards in Badagry West. The five Councillors who were declared winners in yesterday’s Local Government/ Local Council election includes: Hon. Novo Jeremiah, Hon. Godonu Friday, Hon. Comas Adeniran, Hon. Sejoro Idowu and Hon. Zosu Philip.
Meanwhile, the Badagry West Chairmanship candidate of PDP in yesterday’s election, Hon. Abraham Kolawole, has sent a congratulatory message to the re-elected Chairman, Hon. Gbenu Joseph.
