The lawmaker representing Sokoto South senatorial district, Ibrahim Danbaba, has been named by the Peoples Democratic Party as the new Senate Minority Whip.
He replaced Senator Sahabi Yau from Zamfara State, who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) recently.

Recall that Danbaba left the APC in the Eighth Senate, alongside Gov. Aminu Tambuwal, to join PDP, where he contested and won the senatorial seat.
