The recent events between commercial motorcycle riders and some members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in some parts of Lagos Metropolis have continued to generate mixed reactions amongst the people. Although the video clips circulating in the social media which depicts the burning of a police station in the Lekki axis have been debunked by the police authorities, the issue brings into question the authenticity of some information in the social media. Events reveal that the disruptuon at Ojo was as a result of high tariff imposed on commercial motorcycle riders by their Transport Union. Most Lagos residents are concerned on the psychosocial and economic effect on society and what should be done to prevent it from escalating.
