The Lagos State Government has promised to continue to support the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, NAFRC, Oshodi particularly in equipping personnel with post retirement life skills.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the promise while playing host to the Commandant of the NAFRC, Air Vice-Marshal Muhammed Idris at the Lagos House Alausa, Ikeja.
The newly deployed Commandant who came in company of some senior officers from the Centre said the purpose of the visit was to express appreciation to the Governor for approving fifty hectares of land as practical farms for retiring personnel who are being trained in agriculture.
He particularly commended the Government for its strides in the agric sector and the management of the ongoing covid-19 pandemic and post endSars violence .
Air Vice-Marshal Idris explained that the resettlement Centre has over forty skills.
