The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has restated the commitment of his administration to provide an integrated transportation system that will enhance people’s living and drive socio-economic development of the State.
Speaking at the Ground-breaking ceremony and commencement of Civil works for the Lagos Rail Mass Transit, the Red line Project, in Ikeja, Governor Sanwo-Olu said that he would continue search for funds that would provide transportation infrastructure projects for the benefit of the people.
He maintained that his Government plans to create an increase in transportation choices of the citizens which would be affordable, accessible, reduce urban transportation challenges and improve quality of lives.
He also promised that the Red and Blue rail projects would become operational by the last quarter of year 2022.
