Members of the Ikeja Aviation Lions Club, say they will want to see more females taking up courses in the Engineering profession.
This is just as they charged the females not to entertain any fear in going into the field.
President of the Club, Mr. Abdulrahman, Musa, speaking at a zoom meeting with the theme: “Her ability to handle Tools”, said the Engineering profession was not an exclusive profession for the males alone but for females too who desire to contributing to building the society with their acquired skills.
He urged the females to believe in their ability to handle any task or profession, adding that they should see the profession as an easy one like any other professions.
The zoom meeting is a Girl Child Engineer Initiative programme designed not only to raise awareness on the need to get the girl child into the Engineering profession but to develop and implement programs and projects that will guide, empower and support girls in the Secondary schools to enroll into the Engineering departments.
