Honorable James Onwordi Resilience Popularly known as Ibori Ubulu, a PDP chieftain and former House of Assembly candidate from Aniocha South Delta State has pleaded with Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential nominee, to ask Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, to help him win the 2023 presidential election.
Onwordi, a well-known young person in Delta State, claimed that even if Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Delta State, was chosen as Atiku’s running mate, the party still required Governor Wike to win.
He claimed that Wike’s decision to remain silent in favour of Atiku has caused division within the party at the time.
Onwordi said that it’s never too late to meet with Wike to address problems in the present, even though Atiku should have done so.
“The governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, is not a pushover and is not your typical politician; he is a politician who has the support of his constituents.
Wike is essential to the PDP’s success in the general election in 2023.
We all seen Wike’s advantages during the PDP presidential primaries, and we can attest to the fact that he is well-liked by most Nigerians, which means he can easily sway PDP votes not just in his state but across the entire nation.
Wike has every right to be incensed with the PDP for their careless behavior toward him.
I understand his suffering because I was a party leader who ran for office but failed.

Prior to the general election in 2023, political considerations are something I am aware of.
I’ve called the PDP leadership to request a meeting with Governor Wike as soon as possible so that Wike can fully support the party before the general election in 2023. At this point, the PDP cannot afford to ignore Wike’s support and political strengths.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, who is running for vice president, is a capable and dependable politician, like Wike, he said.
