Ahmed Lawan, the President of the Senate, has entered the presidential run for 2023.
In the presence of his pals, Lawan purchased nomination forms for the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the International Conference Centre, ICC.
The news put to rest rumors that the number three citizen is considering running for president.
Lawan’s supporters were said to be led by Chief Sam Nkire, a member of the party’s National Caucus, and 15 other Senators.

As a result, the Senate President is the 24th candidate to submit an expression of interest and nomination form to the APC.
The APC’s primary election was set for May 30.
