Former governor of Anambra, Peter Obi, has cautioned delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to be swayed by financial gain at the party’s primaries.
Obi, who is one of the PDP’s presidential candidates, gave the advice during a meeting with PDP stakeholders at the party’s office in Ibadan, Oyo’s capital, on Tuesday.
He told the delegates that they should “collect money if it is offered,” but that they should vote wisely when choosing the party’s presidential candidate.
Nigerians must make informed decisions about picking a president who can solve the country’s challenges, according to the former governor of Anambra.
If elected president of Nigeria in 2023, he promised to repeat his successes as governor of Anambra.
‘You are delegates. People are going to give you money; people are going to give you everything. If they give you money, take it. It’s your money anyway. But when you want to vote, consider the future of your children. Pray over it,” he said.
“All I have come here to do is to introduce myself. Oyo state, I have introduced myself and told you my background.
“But I beg you, make informed decision such that you will be able to say that my children can live in a better society.”
On the issue of consensus, the former Anambra said there is no consensus even in the north, adding that there are 12 presidential aspirants from the north.
“On the issue of consensus, let me be honest with you, in the north, there is no consensus. The aspirants from the north are 12,” he added.
“In America, 30 people contested the election. In the south, how many of us? We are barely about eight.
“So, what is good is to listen to the eight of us, check the backgrounds of the eight of us, and decide who you are going to support.”
I believe what you postedwrotesaidthink what you postedtypedbelieve what you postedwrotesaidbelieve what you postedtypedsaidWhat you postedtypedsaid was very logicala lot of sense. But, what about this?think about this, what if you were to write a killer headlinetitle?content?typed a catchier title? I ain’t saying your content isn’t good.ain’t saying your content isn’t gooddon’t want to tell you how to run your blog, but what if you added a titlesomethingheadlinetitle that grabbed people’s attention?maybe get a person’s attention?want more? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little vanilla. You might look at Yahoo’s home page and watch how they createwrite post headlines to get viewers to click. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to get readers interested about what you’ve written. Just my opinion, it might bring your postsblog a little livelier.
