According to Abayomi Arabambi, the National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, more Nigerians are clamoring to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in preparation for the elections in 2023 because they want to support Peter Obi’s bid for the presidency.
He asserted that more than 50% of the newly registered voters support Peter Obi.
Arabambi noted that Nigerians, especially the country’s youth, have developed a renewed interest in the election process as a result of the Labour Party (LP) candidate’s presidential ambition.
He made the declaration during a recent interview with Arise TV, which InsightnaijaTV monitored.
According to him, “in the last election, half of the registered voters were docile. Today, we have 12 million registered voters, of which about 8 million of them are youths.
“I am telling you we have over 10 million that registered because of the new order in Nigeria. Everything pointed to the Obidient group, to which I am one of them.
“As we speak, all of us in Nigeria have been kidnapped. And the ticket that can free us from the captivity is the Peter Obi/Datti Baba-Ahmed mandate.”
You may recall that according to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) data, 12.2 million Nigerians recently registered to vote in order to receive their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).
Youth make up more than 70% of them.
