Major General Babagana Monguno, the national security adviser, has warned state governors who utilise thugs to stop the opposition from putting up campaign signs in their territories that security agents will soon surround them.
He further cautioned that when law enforcement agencies take action, there will be nowhere for the culprits to hide. He was the moderator of the ministerial briefing held today at the state house.

The NSA attributed state governors’ actions to what he called an inferiority complex in response to news that some of them had implemented laws preventing the presence of opposition campaign materials in their states.
Reiterating that President Muhammadu Buhari had issued explicit instructions that the 2023 election must be free, fair, and credible, he warned the governors to control their goons under what he calls a “Cabo regime.”
He reiterates his vow to deal firmly with the attackers of the ongoing attacks on INEC offices and assures that “they will get there” after promising to do so before.
