Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, declared on Saturday that, if elected president of Nigeria in 2023, maintaining the country’s unity will be his top priority.
During his speech at the PDP presidential campaign rally in Edo State, Atiku made the remark.

In addition, Atiku spoke forcefully in favour of state policing as a remedy for the nation’s existing security issues.
The vice presidential candidate for the PDP, Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, and the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, among others, were also in attendance at the event, which took place within the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin City.
Okowa, the governor of Delta State, stated in his speech that Atiku had a significant influence on the nation’s South-South development.
