An Israeli strike on tents sheltering displaced residents near a hospital in the southern city of Rafah on Saturday left eleven people dead and numerous others injured, according to the health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza.
According to ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra, in a statement, “Eleven citizens were martyred and about 50 injured, including children, as a result of Israeli forces targeting tents of displaced people near the Emirati hospital.” Qudra also claimed that children were injured in the explosion near the Emirati Maternity Hospital, and that one paramedic was among those killed.

The Israeli military declared that it was investigating the event.
