In a vehicle accident on Thursday at Ajegwu Bridge, on the Ayingba-Lokoja Road, Kogi State, at least ten people were killed and five others were seriously injured.
The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Kogi State Command, revealed this in a report released on Thursday.
According to the report, the crash involved two vehicles: a Howo bus with the number plate XE 536 AWK and a Toyota Hiace with no number plate.
The accident was caused by speeding and a lack of control, according to the FRSC.
“The 10 corpses were taken to the Holy Memorial Mortuary, Ochadamu.
“Traffic control was carried out at the scene. Obstructions have been removed and traffic normalcy restored along the affected road by the FRSC and other security agencies present at the scene,” the report added.
